William Nylander recorded a goal and two assists as the Toronto Maple Leafs claimed a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night.
Nylander, Matthew Knies, Tyler Bertuzzi and Auston Matthews all scored for the Maple Leafs (34-17-8). Joseph Woll made 30 saves in his first game back since suffering an ankle injury on Dec. 7.
Logan Cooley and Alex Kerfoot both had goals as the Coyotes (23-31-5) who have lost their 14th game in a row. Connor Ingram stopped 22 shots in the defeat.
After picking up the puck off of a turnover by Cooley, Marner sprung onto a breakaway before dropping it back to Knies to score as Toronto took the first lead of the game, 1-0 with 6:56 left in the first period.
