A younger look seemed to spark the Coyotes to a competitive start a season ago with the enthusiasm of their rookies helping stoke highlight-reel goals, strong play against the division and ownership of a playoff spot at the All-Star Break.
More youth was added to the mix this season and although a similar boost hasn’t occurred – the Coyotes are stuck in the NHL's basement with only 10 points – the team is still confident it’ll be able to exhibit the progress outlined as an objective for the entire group despite mixed reviews for its youngsters.
“I think we’ll continue to grow right throughout the year,” coach Dave Tippett said.
