Dauphin, a second-round selection (39th overall) of the Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Draft, was sent to the Roadrunners just two days ago after being listed day-to-day by the team for a knee injury and impressed greatly in the one AHL game he featured in.
The Roadrunners picked up a 6-4 victory over the San Diego Gulls in the team’s opening game of the season, with Dauphin registering a goal and an assist in the game.
Per the NHL’s Collect Bargaining Agreement, players are allowed to be sent down to the AHL for no longer than 14 days if they consent – not needing to pass through waivers in order to do so.
