Arizona Coyotes blueliner Jason Demers looks set to return to the lineup much sooner than anticipated after a successful, albeit brief, conditioning stint with the Tucson Roadrunners.
Demers has been sidelined for the majority of the 2018/19 season due to a knee injury, having made just 18 regular season appearances prior to being placed on injured reserve.
It was feared that the 30-year-old veteran would miss the rest of the season, but he has progressed well during his rehab and now looks ready to step back onto the ice in a Coyotes jersey once again.
