The Coyotes spent much of the offseason reconfiguring their look so that about half of the roster they debuted featured new faces.
And the turnover hasn’t stopped even as the team approaches the midway point of its schedule with the Coyotes claiming center Alexander Burmistrov off waivers Monday from the Jets.
“Part of the process with a team in our situation,” coach Dave Tippett said.
Injury has been a major catalyst for the in-season additions with center Peter Holland, center/wing Josh Jooris and now Burmistrov joining the mix after veteran pivot Brad Richardson was sidelined indefinitely in mid-November with fractured tibia and fibula bones in his right leg.
