Glendale wants to skip a $3.75 million payment to the Arizona Coyotes as part of its effort to terminate its agreement with the team.
Cynthia Ricketts, a private attorney hired by the city to represent Glendale, filed a motion in Maricopa County Superior Court on Wednesday asking Judge Dawn Bergin to allow Glendale to either withhold the fourth-quarter payment to the Coyotes or deposit the $3.75 million into an escrow account.
