The Coyotes placed centers Boyd Gordon (upper-body injury) and Martin Hanzal (lower-body injury) on injured reserve and recalled forwards Craig Cunningham and Laurent Dauphin from the American Hockey League. This will be Dauphin’s NHL debut.
“I’ll keep it simple and just skate,” Dauphin said. “That’s what I do best. Try to forecheck hard and help the team to win the hockey game.”
This will be center Antoine Vermette’s first game against the Blackhawks since he won a Stanley Cup with the team last season.
