Coyotes coach Dave Tippett didn’t have much time to relish his 500th win behind the bench.
After the Coyotes topped the Flames 2-1 in overtime Friday night, Tippett used Saturday morning to watch part of the team’s Oct. 24 meeting with the Senators in preparation for a rematch later that night.
But it’s probably fitting that the schedule laid out that way because the day-to-day work is what seems to matter most to the 54-year-old.
“You don’t think about it that way,” Tippett said. “If you enjoy it, you keep doing it. The joy is the joy of winning, not how many you win.
