For Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Coyotes' playoff run is faith rewarded for the weary captain

Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson has seen a lot during his time in Arizona. In fact, Ekman-Larsson has been with the organization so long that he predates the team's name, playing for the once-called Phoenix Coyotes for the first four years of his career.

No other current Coyotes player can say he played for Phoenix.

For most of the 10 seasons Ekman-Larsson has spent with the Coyotes, there hasn't been a whole lot of success. Prior to this season, just one of his teams – the famous 2011-12 outfit – made the playoffs. Ekman-Larsson was 20 years old when the Coyotes lost to the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Finals.
