Lyndsey Fry had a moment when — as she had a silver medal draped around her neck at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia — she knew that her hockey destiny was back in Arizona.
The gold-medal game was decided in overtime for the first time that year, with Canada narrowly edging the United States by a score of 3-2. Fry, a Chandler native, remembers looking up at her family in the stands and experiencing the clarity that would lead the 26-year-old to her latest venture.
“It was like something out of a movie,” Fry said.
