Three of Arizona's major professional sports teams will have 2017 inductees into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame.
Shane Doan, who played 21 years with the Arizona Coyotes, and Dan Majerle, who was with the Phoenix Suns for most of his 14-year NBA career, are headliners in the five-member class along with Arizona Cardinals owner Bill Bidwill.
Other inductees are Anthony Robles, a one-legged wrestler who won an NCAA championship in 2011, and former Arizona Republic sports columnist Paola Boivin.
The induction ceremony will be held Nov. 1 at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
"This class reflects Arizona's great diversity," said Nikki Balich-Cammarata, Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission executive director.
