ST. LOUIS – His hair is longer, he might have gained an inch or two and his jersey doesn’t seem to be as bulky as it was when he broke into the NHL with the Coyotes as a 20-year-old rookie.
But the challenge that faced winger Viktor Tikhonov seven years ago is the same one that confronts him now as he embarks on his second stint with the organization.
“I want to stay in the league and if it’s with Arizona, it’s even better,” Tikhonov said. “That’d be icing on the cake. But for me the goal is to play in this league and play against the best players in the world and try to prove myself.
