It was going to be a tough task for the Arizona Coyotes to get two points against the San Jose Sharks. Despite a win over them, last month San Jose is one of the top teams in the Pacific Division and the Western Conference. The Coyotes were able to grab a much needed point though with a 3-2 loss in overtime.
As the game started off it looked liked like the Coyotes still had some rust from the All Star Break, and they were pretty slow in the first period. The Coyotes would manage to strike first with Conor Garland scoring the first goal of the game unassisted, giving him ten goals on the season.
