For both the Arizona Coyotes and André Tourigny, the team’s grand plan two years ago has come into fruition and both parties are starting to see the organization on the upswing.
Tourigny, who on Wednesday was given a three-year extension at head coach, began his first season in the NHL in 2021 and knew he’d be tasked with steering a young team in a rebuild.
The growing pains were expected and the team went through it in its first season after finishing with the second-worst record, but it was all part of a larger plan from General Manager Bill Armstrong.
