Winger Alex Tanguay wasn’t able to make his Coyotes debut in his first opportunity after a trade from the Avalanche, sitting out Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury.
But the wait seemed to be worth it for the Coyotes as Tanguay tallied his first two goals with the team, including the game-winner, and also chipped in an assist to help snap a season-long seven-game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Panthers on Saturday in front of 14,825 at Gila River Arena.
The victory was the team’s first since Feb. 18, a 6-3 triumph over the Stars, and it was also keyed by a new face to the lineup.
