The Coyotes avoided having to appear in front of an arbitrator this summer, signing forward Brendan Shinnimin and defenseman Philip Samuelsson to one-year, two-way contracts Wednesday.
Shinnimin, Samuelsson and winger Mikkel Boedker were the only restricted free agents who filed for salary arbitration. Boedker also settled before meeting with an arbitrator, agreeing to a one-year, $3.75 million contract July 7. Hearings were scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Toronto for Shinnimin and Samuelsson, respectively.
