Coyotes sign Minnesota-Duluth goalie Hunter Miska

The Coyotes have signed goalie Hunter Miska to an entry-level contract, the team announced Saturday.

"We are very pleased to sign Hunter to an entry level contract," General Manager John Chayka said in a statement released by the team. "Hunter was one of the top goalies in the NCAA last year and he was highly coveted by numerous NHL teams. We are excited to have him join our organization and look forward to watching him develop."

Miska, 21, went 27-5-5 with a .920 save percentage, 2.20 goals-against average and five shutouts for University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2016-17, helping the team reach the Frozen Four championship game where it fell 3-2 to the University of Denver.
