The Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday announced the signing of center Travis Boyd, a free agent who split last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks.
Boyd, 27, received a one-year NHL contract. He was signed off waivers by the Canucks in March after starting the season in Toronto and had five goals and five assists in 39 games between the two teams.
Boyd becomes the eighth new forward the Coyotes have added either via trade or free agency this offseason.
“We are pleased to have Travis join the Coyotes,” team general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement announcing Boyd's arrival.
