The Arizona Coyotes continued drafting forwards, selecting Manix Landry with the 139th overall pick.
Landry is a 5'11", 179-pound center who has been playing in the QMJHL with the Gatineau Olympiques, a team he captained this past year. In 29 games with the Olympiques, he scored 10 goals and recorded 13 assists, and had 2 assists in 4 playoff games.
Despite most mock drafts having him as a later pick, the Salt Lake City, UT native has earned significant praise. Matthew Zator with The Hockey Writers noted that he is "[l]auded for his speed, tenacity, soft hands, and overall never-say-die attitude, he has all the attributes of a player everyone loves playing with, but never against.
