With their second to last pick of the draft the Arizona Coyotes went with another goaltender, drafting North Vancouver, BC native David Tendeck.
Tendeck comes to the Coyotes as the WHL’s Vancouver Giants starting goaltender. Vancouver’s situation appears to be benefiting Tendeck, who in his second full season with the Giants seems to have taken the role as starting goaltender. In 48 starts last season he finished with a 3.02 goals against average and .912 save percentage and three shootouts, which is a big step up from his 4.78 goals against average and .856 save percentage as a rookie.
