In the Arizona Coyotes’ 4-3 victory against the New Jersey Devils, rookie Logan Cooley was the first NHL debutant to record a point on a “cursed” day.
After assisting on Arizona defenseman Sean Durzi’s goal 4:23 into the second period, Cooley registered his first point in his professional career.
With the first game for the Coyotes being on “Friday the 13th,” that assist also made Cooley the first player in NHL history to record at least one point on their debut during the haunted night.
Logan Cooley achieved a spooky @NHL first with two assists in his League debut (: @ArizonaCoyotes).
