Saturday afternoon at Gila River Arena in a nutshell for the Coyotes: A Winnipeg-Arizona franchise record for points in a single game, set by forward Nick Schmaltz with seven; a four-goal lead blown, and then four unanswered goals en route to an 8-5 Coyotes win over the Ottawa Senators, and a two-year contract extension for center Travis Boyd, who could only laugh at himself for not contributing a point on Saturday but was thrilled to know he'd earned some job security.
It was quite a day for the Coyotes, and it seemed only appropriate that Schmaltz (two goals, five assists) and Clayton Keller (two goals, two assists) had big games, as Boyd has been their center on the team's top line.
