Coyotes' rally falls short in third period; three players injured in loss to Panthers

The Arizona Coyotes talked about having played a better game after their shutout loss to the New York Islanders Saturday night. Monday saw them fight back from a three-goal deficit in the third period and lose 5-3 to the undefeated Florida Panthers, as close as Arizona has come to its first win of the season since an overtime loss at Buffalo on Oct. 16.

Liam O'Brien and Phil Kessel scored their first goals of the season 34 seconds apart, and the Coyotes (0-5-1) came close to tying late in the third period before an empty-net goal from former Coyote Anthony Duclair finished them off.
