Gabriel Vilardi's goal in the overtime shootout sent the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes Thursday night at Gila River Arena.
The Coyotes rallied from a two-goal deficit after one period of play, but couldn't come up with another goal after the second period until the shootout, when Nick Schmaltz and Christian Dvorak scored but goalie Darcy Kuemper couldn't keep three Kings from finding the net.
Schmaltz and Phil Kessel scored regulation time goals for the Coyotes (7-6-3), who have at least a point from six of their last seven games.
Dustin Brown and Jeff Carter scored for the Kings, who have won three straight.
