Coyotes part ways with John Scott in a three-way deal

The Coyotes parted ways with winger John Scott Friday afternoon in a three-way deal involving the Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced the trade that sent defenseman Stefan Elliott to Nashville in exchange for defenseman Victor Bartley. The Coyotes then traded Bartley and John Scott to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for defenseman Jarred Tinordi and forward Stefan Fournier.
