Coyotes open road trip with shootout loss to Oilers

EDMONTON, Alberta -- The Coyotes extended their franchise-record point streak over the Oilers to 20 games but ended up falling 4-3 in a shootout Saturday afternoon at Rexall Place.

Since 2011, Arizona has gone 16-0-4 against Edmonton.

With the shootout loss, the Coyotes stand to 7-1-2 against the Pacific Division and sport a 5-2-3 record in their last 10 games.

Centers Matt Hendricks and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins converted in the shootout for the Oilers, while winger Mikkel Boedker was the lone Coyotes player to score.
