Rebooting the offense was once again labeled as an offseason priority for the Coyotes and, despite leaving space on the roster for young players to try to pick up the slack, the team’s performance so far in the preseason hasn’t suggested much improvement.
Through five games,
the Coyotes have scored four goals
– only one at even strength –
and were shut out in back-to-back games on a recent road trip to western Canada.
The Coyotes will conclude their preseason schedule Friday when they host the Sharks.
“It’s a concern, but we knew that coming in,” coach Dave Tippett said.
