The Coyotes failed to punctuate a two-goal lead through two periods, allowing four unanswered goals in the final frame to suffer a 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Sunday at Gila River Arena.
The loss marks the third consecutive for the Coyotes, who dropped three in a row by way of regulation for the first time this season. They are a miserable 8-10-1 on home ice.
“I wish I knew," Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson said, when asked how the game got away. "I thought they came out pushing us a little bit more in the third and we couldn’t really handle them.
