Coyotes forward Johan Larsson scored his first goal of the season Friday night in the team's 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues. He also delivered a hit that got him suspended for the next two games.
The incident occurred early in the third period. Larsson received a minor penalty for illegal check to the head of the Blues' Zach Sanford.
Larsson had a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety earlier on Saturday. His suspension was announced prior to the Coyotes' game against the Blues.
Larsson missed Saturday's game and won't be available Monday when the two teams meet for the seventh consecutive time.
