GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that Ron Rolston has been hired as the head coach of the Springfield Falcons, the Coyotes AHL affiliate.
"We are very pleased to name Ron as our new head coach for the Springfield Falcons," said Maloney. "Ron is an experienced head coach and a great communicator. He has an excellent track record for developing players and we are confident that he is the right coach to lead our top prospects."
Prior to joining the Coyotes, the 48-year-old Rolston was the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres for 51 games during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.
