SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Coyotes weren’t racking up many points at the start of the season amid a series of losses that reflected the inevitable growing pains when a roster is spiked with youth and new faces.
But they were banking plenty of experience in one-goal games.
Of their first nine regulation losses, five had been by one goal.
And as the Coyotes have started to find more of a rhythm with players realizing the team’s style and how to contribute to it, they're starting to end up on the other side of the one-goal margin or at least salvage a point.
