VANCOUVER, British Columbia – The question of puck ownership wasn’t really much of a debate.
“I told him it was mine, but a goal is more important,” Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue said.
Even so, “an assist for a goalie is pretty cool,” center Laurent Dauphin pointed out.
Domingue set in motion the second-period sequence that resulted in Dauphin’s first NHL goal Monday in a 3-2 win over the Canucks to tally the goalie's first NHL point.
But after the game, the puck was with the goal scorer.
“I’m going to give it to (my dad),” Dauphin said.
