Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper suffered a setback on Monday while on the road with the team and remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury, according to the team.
Kuemper, who has not appeared in a game since Dec. 19, was a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Montreal Canadiens but injured himself during morning skate, the team confirmed.
It is unclear whether the injury is an aggravation of the existing ailment or a new injury.
The Coyotes are 7-10-3 since Kuemper went down with the injury.
Antti Raanta was held out of Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins with a lower-body injury of his own, but he was scheduled to start on Monday in Montreal.
