The Arizona Coyotes’ second game against the San Jose Sharks started a lot like their first game. But things changed radically from there.
Arizona started the game taking an early penalty. But while the Coyotes’ penalty on Thursday was plain to see, Conor Garland’s hooking call was less so.
Either way, San Jose scored on that first power play, again giving them an early one-goal lead.
But things diverged radically from there.
Like Thursday, the Coyotes’ first power-play started off pretty bad. They were unable to get set up in the offensive zone, and it looked like this afternoon was going to be a replay of Thursday.
