Coyotes defenseman Alex Goligoski will be a game-time decision ahead of Saturday’s game against the Jets, according to head coach Rick Tocchet. The veteran blueliner suffered a lower body injury after colliding with Blues’ defenseman Chris Thorburn during the third period of Thursday’s game in St. Louis.
Goligoski is one of three injured Coyotes defensemen, joining Jakob Chychrun (knee) and Niklas Hjalmarsson (upper body). While Chychrun has still not skated with the team, Hjalmarsson has begun practicing with the the team since being placed on injured reserve last week.
“Just day-to-day with Alex,” Tocchet said. “Obviously Alex has a better chance to play than (Hjalmarsson) in the next little while … It’s a game-time decision.
