Arizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper is week to week with a lower body injury, the team announced Wednesday morning.
Kuemper, injured early in the third period on Monday in the Coyotes' 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche in Denver, returned to Arizona to be further evaluated. Antti Raanta will move into the No. 1 goalie spot, with Adin Hill the backup after a short conditioning stint at AHL Tucson.
Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet said Kuemper is sore and will soon start the rehabilitation process.
"He's ready to get going now to get better," Tocchet said.
