The “win-and-you’re-in” mentality has been guiding the Coyotes’ approach to their goaltending situation in the absence of No. 1 Mike Smith, but the team could see a switch in net Sunday regardless of the outcome against the Kings.
Louis Domingue made his third straight start Saturday after going 2-0 with a .969 save percentage in his previous two appearances, but Anders Lindback could complete the back-to-back set against the Avalanche.
“We’ll just see after (Saturday), but there’s a good chance of that happening,” coach Dave Tippett said.
Lindback was named the de facto starter earlier this month once Smith was sidelined with a core muscle injury but has been idle since being replaced by Domingue on Dec.
