In a game filled with scraps and big goals, the Arizona Coyotes and the Minnesota Wild showcased an action-filled Sunday night.
The day after hanging on for overtime in Colorado, the Coyotes came out surprisingly energized and scored within the first two minutes. From then on, the teams interlocked into a tight affair before the Coyotes erased a two-goal deficit in a 5-4 overtime win at Mullett Arena.
“We needed a lot of character and it came up and it was old school hockey there,” Coyotes head coach Andre Tourigny said. “There were some fights, some toughness, a lot of emotion, and our guys pushed back so much.
