Lost in the shuffle of the Chicago Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup win, and ensuing epic celebration was the City of Glendale's executive session regarding its future with the Arizona Coyotes.
And what came out of said meeting? More statements about both sides continuing with their pre-decided legal courses. Glendale wants the prior lease with the Coyotes canceled. The Coyotes are fighting this action with a $200 million lawsuit and filed a restraining order against Glendale, which was approved.
Last week Glendale voided the lease at Gila River Arena on a 5-2 City Council vote.
