It won't have even half of the capacity of all the other NHL arenas, in most cases not even a third of the amount of seats. But that's not the focus or the selling point of Arizona State University's multipurpose arena for the Arizona Coyotes, who will call the building home for at least the next three seasons starting in October.
It's the intimacy of the place, currently under construction but expected to be ready for both the Coyotes and Sun Devil hockey seasons in October, and the idea of being close to ice everywhere a fan sits or stands.
