What a day it was for Arizona Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram yesterday.
Not only was he named as the NHL’s First Star of the Week, but he helped the Coyotes blank the Washington Capitals 6-0 on Dec. 4.
That was Ingram’s third shutout of his NHL career and his second this season.
Talking about the accomplishments, Ingram didn’t want to take all the credit as he believed the team deserves the plaudits.
“It’s a huge honor,” Ingram said. “But it is a team stat and it is good that the team gets some recognition around it.
