Connor Ingram claimed his fifth shutout of his NHL career, stopping every one of the 28 shots he faced from the Anaheim Ducks as the Arizona Coyotes won 2-0 last night.
Trailing 4-0 in the second period, the Coyotes came back with five unanswered goals in a 5-4 overtime victory against the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 27.
Arizona’s relentless pressure and forecheck sparked the rally in Tempe, and it carried over to a dominant win in California.
Anaheim came into the contest as the most penalized team in the league with 154 infractions.
Former Coyote Ilya Lybushkin would add to that total by hooking Matias Maccelli, sending Arizona to the power play.
