Columbus signs 2 defensemen to entry-level contracts (The Associated Press)

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed two young defensemen to entry-level contracts.

The team announced Monday that 19-year-old Blake Siebenaler, a 2014 draft pick, has agreed to a three-year deal. The 6-foot-1 right-hander scored 12 goals and had 25 assists in 66 games with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League in 2014-15. He also had one assist in 11 playoff games.

The team also inked 21-year-old Dean Kukan to a two-year contract. The 6-2 Kukan, who was not drafted in the NHL, had three goals and 10 assists in his second full season with Lulea of the Swedish Hockey League.
