Colin Blackwell scored a hat trick, and Connor Bedard netted two goals as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Arizona Coyotes 7-4 Sunday evening.
Bedard, Blackwell, Ryan Donato and Tyler Johnson recorded the goals for the Blackhawks (16-43-5). Arvid Söderblom made 32 saves in the victory.
Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther scored in the Coyotes’ (26-33-5) defeat. Connor Ingram recorded 35 saves as the ‘Yotes fell to one of their Central Division rivals.
Off of a give-and-go with former Blackhawk Schmaltz, Keller curled around the right faceoff circle and fired the puck through a screen to beat Söderblom for a 1-0 Arizona lead 6:09 into the first period.
