PRAGUE (AP) -- Taylor Hall and Jason Spezza scored Saturday to put Canada into the final of the ice hockey world championships with a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic.
Canada reached its first final since 2009 and will take on either defending champion Russia or the United States as it looks for its first title since 2007.
Edmonton Oilers left winger Hall opened the scoring 8:40 into the game after Jordan Eberle's pass from the right found him in front of the empty net, with goaltender Ondrej Pavelec unable to reach the puck.
