DENVER – Avalanche winger Mikkel Boedker didn’t skate with the wrong team during warm-up or report to the visitors bench like one former teammate joked he might.
It had been only a week since Boedker was flipped from the Coyotes to the Avalanche when the two teams met on the ice Monday, but the 26-year-old seems to be enjoying an easy transition to just his second NHL team.
“I think the excitement kind of takes over, and it’s really exciting being in a playoff race and just every game matters,” Boedker said. “It’s been a lot of fun so far, and hopefully it continues.
