Blues score game-winning goal after missed tripping call in Game 5 of Stanley Cup Final

As the St. Louis Blues took the lead in the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night, their 2-1 win over the Bruins in Boston did not come without controversy.

Officiating has been questioned by fans on both sides throughout the series, but Game 5 felt like it hit a high point.

Blues left winger David Perron scored the game-winning goal in the third period, but it came after teammate Bozak tripped Bruins forward Noel Acciari. The officials did not call a penalty, allowing the game to continue and Perron to score.

The missed call prompted Bruins President and former player Cam Neely to throw a water bottle while watching from inside the press box.
