When the 2021 season opens -- the NHL set a target date for January 1 as the league's annual draft began Tuesday -- it will be the Arizona Coyotes' 25th in the Valley of the Sun. And the club is going back to its beginnings to commemorate it.
The Coyotes unveiled logos on Tuesday that harken back to the early years of the team in Arizona, with the crescent moon shoulder patch from the Kachina-patterned original uniforms to be featured at mid-ice at Gila River Arena.
Players will also wear uniform patches bearing the number 25 outlined in silver for their silver anniversary on home and away jerseys.
