Arizona Coyotes to give young players look over final two games; Jenik set for NHL debut

The Arizona Coyotes have little left to play for in the last two games of the regular season, having been eliminated from the playoffs on Wednesday. But that doesn't mean these games don't matter, especially to young players like Jan Jenik.

The 20-year-old center from the Czech Republic is in line for his NHL debut on Friday night against the San Jose Sharks in California. Brought up from AHL Tucson, Jenik was first placed on the taxi squad on Thursday.

With injuries to two centers, Nick Schmaltz and Johan Larsson, Jenik got the call. He produced 11 points in 27 games in Tucson this season, including a two-goal, three-point game on May 1 against San Diego.
