The notorious enforcer comes to the desert after notching three goals and 87 penalty minutes last season.
John Scott has been inked to a one-year contract by the Arizona Coyotes, the team announced Friday. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not revealed.
Scott, 32, recorded 87 penalty minutes in 38 games with the San Jose Sharks last season. He scored four points.
The veteran enforcer stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs 260 pounds. He has amassed 517 penalty minutes and just five goals in 274 career games.
A left winger, Scott certainly appears to fit a weakness on the Coyotes depth chart, although it was thought left-shot prospects Max Domi and/or Anthony Duclair would make a run at a left wing spot in 2015-16.
